What is an Exorcism?

In my vocabulary I use the term exorcism only when removing a demon from a person or location. I call it a clearing when dealing with ghosts and other energies. A demon is an entity that has never been human and feeds on emotions such as fear and anxiety.

In my experience you do not have to believe in demons to suffer a possession. Some of the things that make people susceptible are: physical trauma, any type of abuse that alters a persons perception of self, drinking, smoking and drug ingestion of any kind that alters one's energy and/or thought processes. I have also seen possession due to a karmic agreement by the person or a parent. Everyone is susceptible to a certain extent - know anyone who undergoes a drastic personality change when they drink? Then can't remember their actions right away? It's more a matter of knowing your own Self and acknowledging when something isn't right. Quickly recognizing a stray emotion or negative thought gives you the power to refute it.

I find that people who engage in the type of religions that teach a lack of self worth are feeding grounds for these negative entities. The Bible [Jesus specifically] preaches to love ourselves, so any church telling us how wicked and undeserving we are directly opposes the gospel. Letter of Paul to the Romans is full of warnings against such preaching pretending to be from God. Especially Romans 16: 17. I'm not going too far into that. I have a Bible Study on Blog Talk Radio you can refer to if you are interested. Demons are not church specific or faith specific, however they will manifest in a way particular to the victim. Be strong in who you are, your faith and be joyful - demons hate that!

Where do you suggest an individual go if they are looking for someone to perform an exorcism? Do most exorcisms require more than one person?

I would recommend finding someone who makes you feel deeply at peace when you speak to them. They should also try to rule out mental illness or other causes for your woes.

I was raised Catholic and I know that Catholic exorcisms are rarely performed. And honestly, a full blown exorcism is seldom needed.

How many people participate depends on the situation. I have done them alone with the subject or have had the family who is effected involved at other times. The key is that if it is a person who is infected, they need to truly want to be cleared and the must have faith that God will deliver them. Sometimes this is accomplished in the course of the work.

Some take weeks where others take only an hour. Every situation is different.
Make sure whoever you hire is compassionate and not just flaming your fear to make as much money from you as possible.

They should know what to do with the entity once they remove it so it doesn't come back. They should instruct the subject to fortify their connection with God and their protection to ensure against a relapse. Family members and those close to the subject should also be protected during and after the ritual.

Demystifying Exorcism - What it is, What it is not 10/18 by Geralyn St Joseph | Blog Talk Radio

Exorcism is a loaded word that holds very different meaning for different people. The mere mention of the word exorcism strikes people with fear and loathing, denial and derision.

But what is an exorcism? Who can perform an exorcism? What does it entail? How do you know if an exorcism is needed? What makes you susceptible to this type of attack? How do you protect yourself from becoming the victim of an exorcism fraud?

Sign of the Times

For the past several months I have been receiving frantic phone calls from clients with anxiety, nightmares and a general sense of impending doom. Many peoples’ lives seem to be in chaos. With the approaching end of the Mayan calendar, our futures are in question. All of humanity seems to feel something coming, but what?

This period of time is very difficult on everyone, but is felt more strongly by sensitive individuals. The key is to realize that you are not alone, you are not crazy and chances are that what you are feeling is not personal. By not personal I mean, what is happening is global. Even though the affects can feel personal, the effect is global.

It is time to change. It is time to regain our moral compass and our connection to God, the Universe and Mother Earth. The heightened interest in Spirituality, Eastern Medicine and the mind-body-spirit connection are symptoms of the times. In order to change the outer structures, we need to change our inner voices.

The structures around us, those that truly support us, are not man-made. The structures that truly support us as beings are energetic, spiritual and then physical. The man-made structures built around us were originally designed to support our growth and give us more time for introspection and spiritual pursuits. Many of these things have backfired.

Most of these man-made structures need major overhauls. In America in 2008 the populace cried out for change, unaware that the change can only happen if it begins within us. Our world is rampant with disillusionment and fear. At the same time there exists a growing movement of Truth and Joy. These two camps are pulling further and further apart, in thought, expression, action and vibration.

Eventually when the vibrational frequency of these two groups is polarized enough, one will apparently cease to exist. Is this the Rapture described in the Bible? Those who act out of pure compassion and love, those who follow in the Christ’s footsteps by following the Universal Laws will apparently cease to exist to those trapped in the vibration of apathy and fear. Is this the shift spoken of in so many ancient cultures like the Mayans?

In popular culture we cry out for freedom of thought and word yet punish those who voice opinions different than our own. Is this Truth? Will we allow might to continue to make right? Our monetary systems are arbitrary at best. What do you have to offer your fellow citizens when these things shift or even cease to exist? Gold? Jewels? Or something more valuable, like compassion and support.

Now is the time to be who you truly be. The astrology** reflects this as a time of reckoning. The façade of the 50s gave way to the hippie culture of the 60s, but have we come a long way, baby? What have we accomplished? Our greed and short-sightedness have created a polluted, dying world in chaos. Yet we can see heaven just around the corner. Are we delusional? Or are we simply optimistic?

Let us reach deep to find the best in ourselves. Let us reach down to our roots where we are all connected in Spirit. Let us find our common ground, celebrate our cultures, heal our planet and move forward in compassion and grace. BE the change you want to see in the world, because you are the only one who can be who you be.

Blessings and God’s Grace to ALL!

What Is That In Your Aura? Energy Field?

I am sure that you have heard the term aura and or energy field.  We are comprised of energy which extends past our physical bodies.  How far past is a matter of debate and deep discussion.  Regardless of how large you believe your energy field to be, be aware of the existence of things within it.  Also be aware that nothing exists in your field without your consent or invitation.

That means at some point in your existence you agree to allow something in your field.  Or you may invite things into your field by creating cracks in your aura, leaving holes unhealed or leaving your physical body unguarded.

What does that mean?  When you experience trauma, whether mental, emotional or physical, it creates cracks in your aura.  Left untended these cracks invite entities into your energy field.  Doing things like drinking alcohol, doing drugs and smoking, also open your field and invite entities.  Other things such as channeling where you allow another spirit to inhabit your body also invite entities into your field because you’re leaving your physical body unguarded.

What do we find in people’s energy fields?  We find implants, outdated agreements and entities very often in people’s energy fields.  Most people don’t even know that they are carrying this stuff around.  You may have made an agreement with someone are something in another time place or dimension to perform a certain way.  These things can include loyalty, fear, anger and even hate.  They can be your commitment to organizations and people made in this lifetime or another.  The entities that exist in our energy fields can be helpful but are usually not.  It is best to clear everything had that is not serving at your highest good from your energy field.

For instance, in someone who is an alcoholic and craves alcohol you’ll generally find entities that feed off of the energy created when one is letting go control their body and giving up there will to whatever is nearby.  Oftentimes these entities will multiply as the alcoholism develops.  The more entities in the field the less likely the subject is to stay on the wagon.  Alcohol loosens the hold of the soul on the physical body.  Drinking alcohol allows entities to attach themselves to the energetic field.  Sometimes these entities even take control the physical body while the soul is detached.  You will see this in people whose personalities change drastically when their drinking.  If you are observant you can often see changes to the person’s face.  This can be scary and it dangerous not just a person who is drinking but to everyone around them.

Without consciously going through a process of clearing and cleansing the entire energetic field, one that can travel through life being fodder for things they don’t even realize exist.  Many people are aware of aura cleansing, chakra balancing, pulling cords and the like.  These are good beginning steps to clearing your field.  Every so often, especially if you indulge in alcohol, smoking, drugs or dangerous behavior, you need a deep cleaning.  A simple cleansing will not clear that which you have agreed to in the past.  Also a simple cleansing cannot help when you continually damage your aura consciously.

For a deep cleansing it is always good to find a practitioner you trust to work with you, as a deep cleansing can become very emotional and have side effects and consequences that you need to deal with and may need help sorting through.  With a deep cleansing you consciously rid your entire energetic field of that which no longer serves your highest good.  This means consciously removing implants, programs, entities, blockages and anything else that doesn’t belong there.

You may also need a soul retrieval to fully bring your soul, aura and energy field to wholeness.  Often it is seen with trauma and addiction that we leave a piece of ourselves on the astral plane or in the area that the trauma occurred, or both.  Soul retrieval should be done with no less than two people present; the practitioner performing the soul retrieval and the client or the person performing the soul retrieval and someone to hold the space.  Holding the space means creating a safe space and ensuring the person’s return to their physical body.

Once your energetic field is cleansed, you’ll need to strengthen your field, your aura.  There are many ways to do this and to keep your energy field clean.  But that is for another time.

Blessings!

Fearless Expression

Regardless of the form our self-expression takes we must become fearless. There is always a heckler in the crowd. There will always be people around who choose to judge you, question, and even attack your beliefs and expression. Like a good comedian, use the fodder given you to make your performance better.

The naysayers in our lives challenge us. They help us define who we are and what we are striving for. Those who question us force us to question ourselves and build our resolve. Use these circumstances as an opportunity for growth.

Encourage the questions to chisel away false beliefs and build faith and resolve.

Often we feel attacked when there is genuine curiosity. We feel attacked because our own internal voice is weak and negative. Listen to the attack as if the words are meant to inspire you. Graciously take the questions and criticisms into your thoughts to help iron out the discrepancies in your thinking.

When you survive the hecklers, the naysayers, the negative ones, you grow strong beyond measure. Thank them for the obstacles they place before you, for those are your building blocks. Thank them for their resistance, without their resistance; you cannot build your strength.

We need to become aware that we often attract to us what is playing out in our own internal drama. When we find ourselves being questioned, we must face our own fears and doubts. How much of what is happening is self-projected? How much is an internal reaction? Are we so afraid to be ‘different’? Are we so resistant to being who we are?

We must learn that it is not our duty to please everyone. Our duty is to maintain our connection to God, to Source, and to nurture that connection. When we have found our expression and through that expression give joyful praise of life, we are whole.

When you truly express the Self there is a sense of fulfillment that accompanies the action. You may draw a beautiful picture, take a photograph, give a speech or sing in the shower. There are endless ways to express the self, and they are each as valid as the other. Your self-expression allows those around you to express themselves also. Your freedom, gives them freedom.

Blessings!

What is a Ghost?

One of the most frequently asked questions of psychics and mediums is "What is a ghost?" A ghost is a person’s soul that is caught between our world and the next dimension with no physical body. These are sometimes confused with Spirits, Emotional Imprints and other phenomenon.

In my experience, a ghost usually is convinced that it is still alive. Can you imagine the trauma of waking up one day to find that no one can hear you or see you? You can no longer effect things the way you used to. It usually takes time for them to figure out what they can affect. Movies such as "The Sixth Sense" and "Ghost" are fairly accurate portrayals of a ghost’s existence.

There are many reasons why a soul may become trapped. The number one reason I’ve encountered is FEAR. Fear of going to hell. Fear of the unknown. Fear of leaving loved ones without guidance. Just plain fear. Anxiety is another variation on fear that strongly binds a soul to the Earth plane. Anger can also bind a soul. Anger is a wound trying to defend itself. The worst tether to this plane is a loved one who refuses to let go. This often is not permanent, but delays the soul’s departure.

A ghost has no notion of time anymore. I believe this is partially for self preservation because once a ghost is around longer than a normal life span it becomes harder to deny their condition. Along the same lines is the myth that a ghost cannot leave certain parameters. It chooses to exist in a smaller area because it can remain comfortable there. It’s much easier to deal with the new elements in a single room than with the monumental changes occurring outside. Think about how different the landscape is in just the last twenty years.

In my experience, a ghost will retain a fair amount of that life’s memories. A ghost cannot foresee the future however and has the same limits in intelligence it had when in physical form. A ghost is simply a person without a body.

The emotional body of a ghost is very strong. In fact the primary way to discern if you are dealing with a ghost vs. a spirit that has crossed over or another non-physical life form is through emotion. When a ghost is near or trying to communicate with you generally the first indicator is strong emotion. This is usually fear, anger, anxiety or grief. The trick is to be aware of where in your body you feel this. A ghost will activate the third eye – the emotion feels like pressure between your eyes and is usually very intense.

Most people can sense ghosts, they just don’t understand how to discern whether an emotion is coming from inside them or from outside. Most people just assume that emotions must be generated from inside themselves. Becoming more aware of your body and how it reacts to different emotions is the first step to discovering your intuition.
